About this Travel Blog!

This travel blog is more of a personal travel journal than blog. To find out more please read my about section.

The travel stories section is where additional content from this journal eventually goes to under travelogues; along with insightful articles into a countries real life in "seeing the unseen"

Travel Blog Journals are not always live as they happen. I want to take my time in writing what's happening to me, and this journey as a whole. I also don't have access to 24/7 internet. And, when I do it's not all about writing here. Twitter is a good place to see my live updates.

To process photos, find internet, upload and write is costly. I do it whenever I can, and as fast as I can. Please that into account.

If you have met me en route, please don't take offense if your name is not mentioned in my blog/journal. As mentioned it started off as a personal journal and will hopefully continue on like that. I change names and don't make personal references as I've seen people take offense in the past. If it happens here, then I will have to take the journal/blog off public viewing.

Throughout the website you will find some travel resources I've compiled, reviews, articles on inspiring travelers, people and places. I hope they can provide some insight, help and hopefully inspiration for anyone out there either looking to travel, or looking for something else. If not, then maybe this place where I hang my photographs can at least be enjoyed!

You might find this Travel Blog a little different to most. Searching for home like this is not a picnic. Nor a wild travel party. Follow along and read along by all means. Take it for whatever you think. Sometimes I get the time to write things out well, some times not. Other times I am just penning my thoughts.
It's simply my journal on traveling the world in search of home. If you read through not just this blog but the whole site maybe some points I mention will touch base with you. Other points maybe not, hopefully they won't be too out of the norm not to at least offer some insight into my journey.

Rather unfortunately with no support network this journal/blog will also serve notice if anything should ever happen to me. If no one see's an entry for over a month, then I'm either dead, or kidnapped. (without prior info stating the opposite). If anyone's reading this you might like to contact the police in the country I was last in! I joke not.

Beef Adobo from the Philippines

Beef Adobo

Adobo of any kind in the Philippines is usually very good, beef being my favorite. Adobo is basically the sauce that comes with the little strips of meat, which can be beef, pork, squid … the list goes on. Adobo sauce itself is a mix of garlic, soy sauce, vinegar and pepper. It’s a delicate yet very nice flavor.

One of the things about beef adobo that I always found a little amusing is that its also often referred to as beef steak. Which to me is a might big clump of meat. So watch out if you order in a place without seeing it and end up getting beef adobo.

Adobo is availible all over the Philippines in many cantina’s and restraunts. Prices vary from a local dish of 30 pesos all the way up to 100 + in more expensive places. I’ve had both, and prefer the local as it seems to have a little more kick.
