It's a two way road to finding home

I think it's safe to say that you must have found something useful or helpful on this site, otherwise you would have left a while back!!

As you would have gathered by now I have been doing this for a while. I've met many great people along the way that have helped in one way or another. And I always hope to return the favor. That is what part of this site is about. However I do run into problems every now and then. So if you think you can help with any of the things I have listed below, then please get in touch!

In the meantime, I hope my contributions on this site have been able to give back what I have learned along the way on my journey. If there's anything specific you think I can help you with. Then please also get in touch.

I have just added my Amazon recommendations here. If you'd like to support me then please take a look and buy your travel guide books / novels / movies from there. Your buying direct from Amazon at their regular prices, but they give me credit for each sale made through here. Any credit I earn will go towards buying a new travel book to help me on my way!

My wish list:

A Job - Yep, money is tight these days. From my blog you can work out where I am. If you know anyone hiring in this area or nearby (i am global after all!), then please let me know. If it means staying a while, so be it!

Travel Insurance - Anyone know of a cheapy or potential sponsors? It's turning out to be a big expense, and one that I need to cover. I know a lot of travellers don't use insurance, but without a family or support network it's really something I need in case something bad happens. For anyone looking themselves I did a review of travel insurance companies here.

A Publisher/Agent - The book is done. It's a fictional travelogue. I am editing it down now, and cutting out the fluff. I hope to publish edited out excerpts on my stories page. If you know of an agent or publisher who would be interested then let them know about me!

This Site: General - currently the site is being hosted on a free server. Unfortunately this means if too many people look at it during one month. It goes down. It can also slow the site down a bit. There are relative and small ads throughout the site. They are there to support this site, and hopefully enable me to afford solid, ad free hosting one day.

I am not a web designer either so if you spot any mistakes, broken links etc and think you could help out, I am all ears!

This Site: Advertisers - If you have something to advertise that is related to the content on this site, then get in touch. Please state your rates, running time, advertisement content and ad location.

Insider Information - If you are living in any of the places I am passing through. It would be great to meet up. I guess this site tells you more about me, so you have me at an advantage! I would like to learn a little about what it's like to live in a country. I don't mean living as a local, but living as a foreigner in the country. Apart from that, I like finding some off the beaten path places if you know any?

Trekking Boots - Yep, I am on my third pair. And they are tearing apart from the inside. Oh dear. Not sure how to go about solving this one. If you know a way, let me know eh?! I have been through a pair of Mendel boots here, an Italian pair, current. And a pair of non backpacking boots. Strangely all these new super design boots are the ones falling apart after a year?!! Some good news at last. I found a little man who actually didn't mind spending 30 minutes machine stitching the inner lining back on! Most people I found outside of Nepal were either not interested, or just wanted to glue things back. It's quite a relief, as my heels were begriming to blister from this. I know that new ones are still needed down the road, but really the guy did a great job for the price of a meal! I will do a blog update on this soon. In the mean time I am striking this one off the list!

A Home - I saved the most important to last. I spent a lifetime getting this far, and am not about to give up. I truly am searching for a place called home. Read the about section for more info. I am not asking for where you think a good place would be, it's an individual thing. This much I know. But if you have ever met, or are a person on a similar quest and found home. Let me know ...

A note to overzealous business types, please don't send me links to things I can't afford to buy! AKA spam. Thank you.
