There are many many travel blogs, and websites out there. I don't pretend to have seen them all. Nor can I say that I truly have the time to search the internet looking for them as I am traveling most of the time in search of home or updating my journals. However there are a few I do enjoy, and some that I find very helpful.

On this page you will find my tiny list of favorites, the ones that live in a special folder in my bookmarks or RSS. Rather than just list them, I also give a brief synopsis to each one. It's by no means an exclusive list. If you think you have a great travelogue, travel blog, or travel website then you can submit your site on this page. Never know, it might end up in my favorites too!

My Favorite Travel Blogs/Sites: (link to top)

Goliath Expedition: Karl Busby's 12 + year odyssey to walk around the world. He's on my list of great travelers. An average site, but above average story!

Road Junky Travel: For the more hardcore traveller out there, articles & in your face advice. Personal favourite, but it won't be everyones.

Live in the Philippines: If you ever want to move or live in The Philippines, you can't beat Bob's incredible website. I've lived in the Philippines and found a wealth of information here. Not only that, but Bob's a nice guy too!

South East Asia Experience: I get really tired of seeing people blabber on about the night life and parties in SEA. Here a woman sets off to discover her own part of the world. To the point, nice photos on real travel. If you want to go and see the other side of SEA, this is worth a quick read.

Travelblogs: Nope it's not because they interviewed me, I was reading on the site before that. It's actually a great collection of travel sites and blogs from around the world. A great place to stop by and see who's doing what out there!

Photo Legal: An incredibly well put together podcast is just one of the features of this great website. It makes for some great listening when on the road. Covering all the legal aspects of photography and you rights as a photographer.

Long Way Round: Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman's motorcycle trip around the world from London to New York. Fresh faced in the world of overland travel it was a great television series and a nice site. The sequel left a lot to be desired as it became very commercial and lost the raw emotion and inexperience that made their first adventure so much fun.

Asia East.org: A literary website about everything Asian. A collection of articles from a host of international authors. Topics from Asian book reviews, and economics to recipies and personal expereinces are covered here.

Travel Help Sites: (link to top)

Lonely Planet Thorn Tree - Yep, it is a fountain of knowledge. I bash the books a lot on my traveling. But if you have a question that needs to go out to a broad knowledge base, this is the place. The only shame here goes to the smart assed comments one often gets from so called 'experts'

Travellerspoint - A relative up and comer for travel help. Fresh, with good solid answers to your questions. Never have I seen a smart assed reply, and the support is simply the best. Blogs, travel guide included. For good reason, it's where my blog was first hosted.
