The Mahaboudha Temple in Patan, Nepal started consrtuction in 1564 and finished in 1610. The constuction was started by a religious devotee and finished by one of his sons after the rest had died.
The temple get the nickname temple of 1008 buddhas due to each of the terracotta tiles on it having an engraving of the buddha. It is moddled after a similar temple in India.
