List of Embassies in Kathmandu, Nepal
Kathmandu city is where the vast majority of international embassies are located. Most of these embassies are located in an area known as Lazimpat. In recent years, access to the embassies has been curtailed from manually visiting them, to setting appointments via the telephone to online appointment setting.
Many of the embassies deal with visa applications at set times during the day. Furthermore, it's important to research if an embassy will issue a visa from Kathmandu to a destination or whether you can only apply in your home country. It is vital if you are traveling onwards that you get this information before arriving in Nepal.
Similarly, it's important to check online at all embassies before visiting them for recent information.
Many Embassies in Kathmandu change their contact telephone numbers and email addresses frequently. Likewise, many of the listed telephone numbers are often engaged or lines cannot be established. Once again, do please check online at the embassy to see if the number has changed as this occurs quite frequently.
